Some scientific research suggests that steroidal saponins are a safe and health-approved plant component that, although they have shown various biological activities (antimicrobial, insecticidal, expectorant, diuretic, cardiovascular, anti-inflammatory, sedative, etc.)¹, they have long been established as precursors to sexual hormones².
