Ginkgo Biloba, from Vitobest®, is a supplement made from the dry extract of the homonymous plant (24% flavones and 6% lactones). Due to its antioxidant, vasodilator, and neuroprotective properties, it is one of the most used plant species in naturopathy.

The Ginkgo biloba is a unique tree in the world. Used for centuries in traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Hindu medicine, it has proven to have enormous potential, especially in conditions associated with aging. In addition, it improves blood flow and is considered a wonderful antioxidant. The leaf of this species presents vasoregulatory activity (arterial vasodilator, venous vasoconstrictor and reinforcement of capillary resistance, increased blood flow), platelet anti-aggregate; it increases tolerance to anoxia (increase in glucose and oxygen uptake and decrease in oxygen requirements at the cerebral level); neuroprotector and antioxidant (the flavonoids and terpenes it contains absorb free radicals in the body and inhibit the generation of reactive oxygen species)¹.
