Maca Andina 2500

Maca Andina 2500, from Vitobest®, is a nutritional supplement made from maca (Lepidium meyenii), a plant native to the Andes of Peru with proven benefits.

Consumed by the indigenous people since 2600 BC, its root is the most used part in traditional medicine: it is attributed with aphrodisiac, regulatory, immunostimulant, energizing, and antiarthritic properties¹.

Scientific studies explain that this plant contains a significant amount of fatty acids (linolenic, palmitic and oleic); essential amino acids (leucine, arginine, phenylamine, lysine, glycine, alanine, valine, isoleucine, glutamic acid, serine, aspartic acid, histidine, threonine, tyrosine, methionine, hydroxyproline, proline, sarcosine); and minerals (calcium, iron, zinc, potassium)².

Others consider that maca is a good dietary supplement that protects against oxidative stress³, has an adaptogenic effect⁴, is energizing and revitalizing, improves memory and anemia⁵, and helps to decrease osteoporosis⁶.

For the elaboration of its Maca Andina 2500, Vitobest® uses Macafull®, a dry extract of Lepidium meyenii standardized to 0.6% (macamides and macaenes), possibly the highest concentration on the market, with a 10:1 ratio equivalent to 2000 mg of the plant in powder.

Vitobest® uses for this supplement vegetable capsules (VegeCaps) suitable for vegan diets and free of titanium dioxide.
