Coenzyme Q10 is well defined as a crucial component of the oxidative phosphorylation process in mitochondria1.
Scientific studies also highlight that it constitutes an essential cofactor of the electron transport chain, as well as a potent eliminator of free radicals in lipidic and mitochondrial membranes, which means it can exert very useful neuroprotective effects2.
