What is Palatinose?

Palatinose (or isomaltulose) is a disaccharide carbohydrate, composed of glucose and fructose, similar to sucrose and linked by an enzymatic bond. Palatinose, from Vitobest®, comes with the guarantee and quality of Palatinose™: it is 100% vegan, kosher, halal and non-GMO.

Palatinose 01

Benefits of Palatinose:

  • Carbohydrate with a low glycemic index (GI=32).
  • Slow energy release, due to its low rate of intestinal hydrolysis. Because of this, the absorption process into the blood is much slower.
  • Lower insulin response, as it is a slower metabolism.
  • Higher fat oxidation during exercise than other sugars2,3.
  • By facilitating a greater use of fats as an energy source, metabolism during training or exercise is similar to when we train "empty" of carbohydrates2.
  • It is ideal for athletes with metabolic problems or diabetes1.
  • It can be combined with other carbohydrates for optimal effects, for example Dextrin Cyclic.

Palatinose 02

  • High insulin responses inhibit fat oxidation, palatinose produces a lower insulin response, increasing fat oxidation as an energy source.

  • It also helps to inhibit fat storage in adipose tissue. This is interesting for athletes on low-fat and low-carbohydrate diets.
  • Saves muscle glycogen.
