L-Arginine is an essential amino acid in times of stress and a precursor for the formation of nitric oxide: it helps to cause the relaxation of blood vessels and is involved in the processes of transport, storage and excretion of nitrogen1.

There are several scientific studies that explain the benefits of supplementation with L-Arginine. Among them, it is highlighted that its intake helps to improve wound healing by promoting cell replication and immune response1 and that, associated with a weight training program, its oral administration enhances the exercise stimuli at the level of the skeletal muscles, providing greater strength and muscle mass2.

Others claim that this substance stimulates the secretion of growth hormone from the pituitary gland; that it is one of the precursors of creatine; and that it is essential for the production of urea (necessary for the removal of toxic ammonia from the body)3.

In the formulation of L-Arginine 2000, Vitobest® uses L-Arginine from Ajinomoto®, the renowned Japanese brand with over 100 years of experience that only uses amino acids isolated by fermentation; and vitamin C (Quali®-C) (DSM®), which acts as an important antioxidant.
