Alegretto, from Vitobest®, combines in its formula plant extracts and amino acids that help fight stress and anxiety:
- Ginkgo, ashwagandha, hypericum and magnolia: Ginkgo biloba1 helps to decrease stress and anxiety promoting sleep. Ashwagandha2, traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine, contains substances with GABA-mimicking action that provide a tranquilizing and anticonvulsive effect. Hypericum, known as St. John's wort, helps to maintain constant levels of serotonin in the brain by inhibiting the production of monoamine oxidase (the enzyme responsible for its elimination). Magnolia contains honokiol and magnoliol, two substances that fight stress and anxiety without causing drowsiness.
- GABA, L-Tryptophan, L-Tyrosine and L-Glutamine: L-Glutamine3 is a precursor of GABA4, a neurotransmitter that helps to decrease high levels of noradrenaline that the body reaches when it is scared or anxious, causing a constant state of alert. L-Tryptophan and L-Tyrosine are necessary for the synthesis of serotonin and dopamine hormones, responsible for the feeling of happiness and depressive states.
- Vitamin B6: contributes to maintaining normal psychological function, and to reducing tiredness and fatigue.
