Active Ingredients GlucoBest:

Gymnema sylvestre.

In Indian culture, the properties of gymnema are known when its leaves are chewed, causing the sweet taste of food to not be perceived. Because of this property, gymnema is known in India as gurmar, which means "sugar destroyer" in Hindu.¹. It is one of the most studied plants and it has been shown that the administration of gymnema reduces blood glucose levels. Its effectiveness in patients with type I and II diabetes has also been demonstrated.^1,2.

Berberis aristata (98% berberine).

Berberine is capable of reducing circulating glucose levels and also glycosylated hemoglobin levels.³, a biochemical parameter that aids in the management and control of the development of diabetes or prediabetes, as it indicates the average of circulating glucose levels from the last 3 months. Berberine increases the activity of adiponectin.⁴ and improves peripheral sensitivity to insulin, so there is an increase in cellular glucose uptake. Alpha lipoic acid (R-ALA) (Alipure®).

Alpha lipoic acid is a naturally occurring compound that plays an essential role in mitochondrial bioenergetic reactions (inside the cell), and is the subject of numerous studies as an antioxidant for its use in the management of diabetic complications. Lipoic acid is a very powerful antioxidant.⁵, acts on free radicals (ROS), chelates metal ions and reduces the oxidized forms of other antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E and glutathione.⁵.
